Congratulations to our 2019 Regional Coordinator team for Quo Vadis X!

Monica Koziol

I have been involved in the Polish American Association called “Dar Serca”. As a young professional in the Chicago Polish community, I would like to share information about my region and the history of Poles in Chicago at QVX. I am an alumni of Quo Vadis Chicago 2012. During that conference, I enjoyed the inspirational guest speakers that appeared dedicated to building a brighter future. This was a very meaningful part of my experience that I look forward to during the upcoming QVX conference.

I have been a member of the Stokrotki Polish choir throughout my childhood and adolescence. This choir was based on the enrichment of Polish culture by singing patriotic songs and hymns, which has become the root of my national pride and enthusiasm. Along with expressing my love for Poland with my vocals, I was a member of the Polonez Polish folk dancing group, which combines Poland’s culture and history. I am a graduating student of human biology at the University of Toronto, and I intend to encounter young adults that have similar national pride and unreserved openness to people of various backgrounds. As a member of the Polish Canadian community, I am interested in furthering creating events that will compliment the youths engagement such as polish dance parties. I want to be involved and be open to community events (for example the annual Polish fest in Toronto, and various charitable organizations) and having monthly or weekly meetings that join the youth on a personal basis.

I am a graduate student at Madonna University and I am currently completing my Masters in Educational Leadership. I am currently involved with the Polish Scouting Organization and the Piast Institute. I also help to organize and plan events with children and adults in Polish and English. I also planned, organized, and led 2 different groups of American students to Poland on an Educational Trip. The Quo Vadis Montreal 2013 experience was meaningful to me because I was able to meet young professionals internationally, where we exchanged ideas on how to make ourselves better and how to make Polonia better in the place where we live. In the future I plan on meeting with various Polish organizations in Michigan to help, fundraise, gather interested attendees, network and publish information about QVX on the most commonly popular media platforms to adhere to the Polish millennial population.

Victoria Bujny

Chicago, Illinois, USA

bujnyvic@gmail.com

I am a young professional from Chicago. I am currently working with a group of young like minded individuals to form the Polish American Association. In the past, I helped organize Polish lunch networking events. Attended the Windsor 2010 and Toronto 2011 Quo Vadis Conferences. My most memorable part of Quo Vadis, was having the opportunity to meet other young Polish professionals, participating in Quo Vadis activities (city wide scavenger hunt!) educational sessions, and networking, which was a lot fun! My goal as regional coordinator is to spread information about QVX: reach out to Polish clubs at the university in Chicago, dance groups, churches and ZHP (Polish American Scouting Association). Furthermore, I co-organized a spring social event that will engage networking and advertise QVX for future participants. I am looking forward to an improv for business skills (peer to peer learning sessions) panel at QVX.
